Kate Odom, Psy.D. Licensed Clinical Psychology

Dr. Kate Odom is a  Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in trauma, high risk/high conflict and big emotions and working with children, adolescents and families. She earned her Bachelor's of Science at Colorado State University and her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2010. Dr. Odom's graduate work, internship, and post-doctoral  concentration  were all in Child/Adolescent and Family treatment. She has provided therapy, assessment/psychological testing, and consultation services in a variety of settings, including school, residential programs, primary care, and outpatient centers. 

 

Dr. Odom has provided therapeutic treatment, trainings, and presentations across the country, as well as providing clinical supervision for graduate students of psychology. She was Director of Training at a private group practice in Seattle, WA, primarily focused on services provided to school districts, including conducting IEE/IEP evaluations and consultation. Dr. Odom returned to Chicagoland in 2019 and was providing clinical supervision to graduate students at Aunt Martha's youth residential program, After School Matters, and other community embedded agencies. Currently, Dr. Odom is a trainer for DBT in Schools  and provides behavioral health and therapy to patients of a primary health care clinic. 

 

In her private practice, Odom Psychology and Consulting, PLLC, Dr. Odom leads the Teen DBT Skills Group, as well as providing telehealth counseling informed by evidenced-based treatments such as TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and others,  

 

In her free time, Dr. Odom enjoys traveling, playing soccer, gardening, and cooking. She has two school aged daughters, a husband, and a small, old terrier mutt, named Cali.
